Symptoms of Sunburn
Sunburns are burns to the skin that are caused by ultra violet radiation. Sunburns can occur after only 30 minutes of exposure.
Who is at risk for sunburns?
People with lighter colourings have a greater risk of becoming sunburned
Common symptoms of sunburns interfere with your daily routine and include:
- Skin Redness
- Irritation
- Skin Loss (Peeling)
- Itching
- Blistering
Can sunburns be deadly?
Sun poisoning is very rare, but fatal. Less severe cases of sunburn can cause severe skin burning, dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, and infection. Additional symptoms of sunburns may include:
- Chills
- Fever
- Nausea and Vomitting
- Flulike Symptoms
